Norfolk, Va. – The Norfolk Tides have revealed their new logos and colors for the 2016 season.
Moving away from the simple blue and white logo they’ve had, the team has now adopted bright colors that represent Norfolk’s baseball, naval and oceanic heritage – Battleship Gray, Sea Foam, Tidal Green, Orioles Orange, and Black.
There’s also a fun, new mascot as the centerpiece of the new logo – a menacing, trident-bearing seahorse.
The redesigned white home uniforms feature green trim and showcase the team’s “Tides” lettering across the chest. The new green home cap features the Trident Sea Horse logo.
On the road, the club will wear traditional gray uniforms with “Norfolk” displayed across the chest, and black caps featuring a Norfolk “N” in the shape of an anchor.
The new look was created by Brandiose in San Diego. They’re also responsible for the logo for the Richmond Flying Squirrels and a few other baseball clubs.
“The Tides have big plans for Hampton Roads,” said Brandiose’s Jason Klein. “Our goal is to integrate local folklore in the Tides brand, and to create the most immersive entertainment experiences in the region.”
