After two failed attempts at using dynamite to implode this historic smokestack in Pell City, Alabama, a city worker went out and took an excavator to the structure.

Only to have it fall directly on top of the cab of the tractor.

Miraculously, the operator walked away from the incident with only a few minor scratches.

Tim Phifer shared what went through his mind as things quickly went dark.

“Stay in the hole, that cab was made for that thing turn over on top of it, I was safer inside the cab then coming out of it.”

Many couldn’t believe Phifer walked away from the rubble.

“God blesses me.”
