Virginia Beach, Va. – The Virginia Beach Fire Department and the Coast Guard assisted two duck hunters in Back Bay on Wednesday morning when their boat began taking on water.
The two hunters were in the boat when it began taking on water. They were able to make it off the boat and over to a marshy area of land before the boat sank.
VBFD and Coast Guard members arrived on scene a short time later to assist the hunters.
A salvage team is now out working to retrieve the boat.
