Newport News, Va. – A 16-year-old male was hospitalized after being shot in the buttocks in Newport News on Friday night.
The teen was walking in the 1500 block of Ivy Avenue at 9:45 p.m. when a black or dark-colored car drove by.
At least one person in the vehicle fired a shot, striking the victim in the buttocks, according to police.
His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
