Norfolk, Va. – A Norfolk family is unable to live in their home right now after it was damaged in a fire Sunday night.
The home is located in the 2300 block of Wharton Ave., which is in the Ocean View area.
Firefighters were called out to the home around 5:30 p.m. According to Battalion Chief Garry Windley, the flames were 20 – 30 feet above the roof line when they got there.
The fire started in the back of the home, but at this point it’s unknown what caused it.
According to Windley, four people live in the home, but they were not inside at the time of the fire.
There are no reports of any injuries.
