Norfolk, Va. - Two Norfolk police officers have been indicted on four embezzlement charges each following a Virginia State Police investigation.
The Indictments: Jacob Wright | Randolph Brann
The indictments are based on an investigation of an off-duty matter, according to police officials.
According to the indictments, both officers are accused of taking money from the International Brotherhood of Police over several years from 2011-2014. They did not go into detail about how much money is involved, but the indictments say each charge is for at least $200 or more.
Officer Randolph Brann and Officer Jacob Wright will remain on administrative duty throughout the court proceeding and pending internal investigation.
Both officers have been with the Norfolk Police Department for seven years. Brann was president of the Norfolk Police Union.
The Norfolk Police Department is fully cooperating with the Virginia State Police and Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
