Newport News, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating what happened to a 16-year old boy and 20-year old woman who were found dead inside a home Saturday night.

Police say around 5:45 p.m. they got a call about one person dead inside a home in the 5900 block of Wickham Avenue. When officers got there they found two people dead inside, 16-year old Demonte Chambers and 20-year old Nickeia Hunter.

Police say the teenage boy lived at the house and the 20-year old woman was a friend who was visiting from Hampton.

The causes of death for the two were released on Monday afternoon. Hunter and Chambers both died from gunshot wounds to the head. They say Hunter's death was a homicide, though they say the manner of death for Chambers is still pending.

Police are saying the deaths are not random.
