A 12-year-old boy in Taiwan made a huge mistake in an art museum Sunday.

The boy tripped and reached out to break his fall with a $1.5 million painting.

The painting, titled “Flowers,” by Italian Renaissance painter Paolo Porpora, is about 350 years old and was being displayed at the Huashan 1914 Creative Park as part of “The Face of Leonardo, Images of a Genius” exhibit.

The curator of the exhibition, Andrea Rossi, reportedly asked that the boy not be blamed and the family not be asked to pay for the cost. The restoration will likely be covered by insurance before the painting is returned to Italy.
