Posted

Norfolk, Va. - All Julie Molohon can do is hope as the search for her husband continues now almost into day five.

She didn't want to go on camera, but wanted to get the word out. She and police need helping finding the retired Norfolk firefighter.

No one has seen J.R. Molohon since Monday.

“Torturous not knowing and waiting. You know, where is he?” asked Molohon.

A neighbor saw J.R. on Monday afternoon at his home on Lester Avenue near Oceanview.

He left his cell phone at home. When Julie got home from work.

She found the phone and that evening realized something might be wrong.

On Wednesday, police found his pickup truck in Corolla with his surf board.

His wife says that was his favorite beach and he was an avid surfer.

But there's still been no sign of J.R.

Police say right now they're not ruling out anything.

He worked as a Norfolk firefighter for more than 25-years.

His wife says he's always been dependable.

He also has a heart condition and left his medicine at home.

His wife is pleading for information on where he could be.
