Outer Banks, NC - Pictures and video have surfaced showing a couple in the Outer Banks using homemade shark cages to protect themselves in the water.
In the video shared to Outer Banks radio station WCMS' Facebook page, the couple is seen walking into waist-deep water with the cages before being called back by a lifeguard.
Between June 11th and July 4th, eight people were bitten by sharks along the Carolina coastline.
