Tuesday’s VIPIR Forecast: Summer heat and storms

Summer-like heat and storms… The next few days will be very typical for summer in Hampton Roads. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with a chance for an afternoon “pop up” showers or storms. Temperatures will start in the mid 70s this morning and climb into the low 90s this afternoon. It will feel more like the mid to upper 90s with the higher humidity.

Highs will reach into the mid 90s tomorrow with heat index values in the triple digits. We could still see an isolated afternoon shower or storm tomorrow. Highs will gradually slide back into the 80s through the second half of the week.
