Virginia Beach, Va. - NewsChannel 3's Mike Mather went on quite an adventure this week. He went on a shark expedition.
On this trip, he saw crews catch bull sharks, the kind that canceled a kayak tour earlier in the week.
They also caught hooked black-tips and a hammerhead.
Most of the sharks they land close to shore are juveniles and pretty small.
Crews have landed much bigger bull sharks this week.
This many sharks close to shore is not much of a surprise to the captain or his mate, but visitors are sometimes shaken up to see what's out there swimming with them in the water.
