A teenager bitten by a shark in North Carolina over the weekend says he is “going to try to fight, and live a normal life.”
Hunter Treschel, 16, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was in good condition on Tuesday evening after losing an arm in the shark attack on Oak Island.
He says his goal is to live a normal life, “with the cards he’s been dealt.”
In the video above, Hunter talks more about his experience.
Treschel was one of two people injured on Sunday in separate shark attacks at Oak Island. Kiersten Yow, 12, of Archdale was also attacked approximately an hour and a half before Treschel was — and lost part of her arm.
