Chesapeake, Va. – Police are searching for a suspect wanted in a Chesapeake gas station robbery.
At 12:45 p.m., police responded to the Quest gas station located in the 1200 block of George Washington Hwy. in reference to a robbery.
Witnesses told police that an unknown male wearing dark clothing and a mask entered the store armed with a handgun. The suspect then assaulted the cashier and demanded money, police say. The suspect then ran away from the area with an undisclosed amount of money.
The victim was not treated for his injuries, according to police.
The incident is currently under investigation.
