Virginia Beach, Va. – Police are looking for suspect information after a rabbit was found with an arrow through its body, according to Meghan Conti, Virginia Beach Animal Enforcement Unit Supervisor.

On May 8, 2015 at 3 p.m., a citizen called Virginia Beach police and reported they had seen an injured rabbit in the 1100 block of Selwood Drive.

An Animal Control Officer responded and found a rabbit with an arrow protruding from its body, officials say. The rabbit was still alive at the time, but was euthanized later due to the extent of its injuries.
