Three Chesapeake businesses robbed in three hours

Chesapeake, Virginia - Three businesses in the Western Branch area of Chesapeake were robbed at gunpoint within hours of each other, according to police.

The robberies happened late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Police say around 11:15pm the Wilco gas station in the 3900 block of Portsmouth Boulevard was robbed.

The second robbery, police say, happened around 1:05am at the Extended Stay hotel in the 3200 block of Western Branch Boulevard.

Police say the third robbery happened at 2:30am at the 7-Eleven in the 3200 block of Western Branch Boulevard.

In each robbery, the suspect is described as a black male with a gun, wearing all black, according to police.

No injuries were reported and the robberies remain under investigation.
