Suffolk, Va. - A 44-year-old man is dead after the tractor he was driving overturned on a Suffolk farm Tuesday.

Calls came in about the incident at 3:46 p.m.

Police responded to the scene in the 3900 block of Butler Drive. This is in the rural area of the Whaleyville borough.

The victim has been identified as Adam Thoroughgood , Sr. of Chesapeake. He was the pastor of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ.

"It`s going to be a tough pill to swallow but God has us. God is our help and God is our strength," says Aaron, the victim's son.

He was driving a tractor on a family farm in Suffolk. The tractor flipped and pinned him underneath.

Adam's son Aaron credits his strength to cope with this recent tragedy to God and a dream he had a few months ago.

"My dad had died in the dream. 9:30 as I woke up from my dream, I was just crying. I couldn't stop crying. So I really think that God was preparing me for this time. That's why I'm so strong," says Aaron.
