7-Eleven robbed in Portsmouth

Portsmouth, Va. - Police are searching for a man who robbed the 7-Eleven in the 5000 block of Portsmouth Blvd. early Friday morning.

Police received a 911 call about the robbery around 12:44am.

The man reportedly entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint before running away.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black man last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, black jeans and black sneakers.  The man had the lower part of his face covered and was armed with a black handgun.

Anyone with information about this incident or who can identify the male in the video or picture is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP℠.  Callers are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court.  If a caller’s tip leads to an arrest, they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
