Two police cars, several other vehicles broken into in Hampton

Hampton, Va. – Several police vehicles were broken into in Hampton Thursday night or early Friday morning, according to Hampton Police.

A Hampton Police officer was flagged down by a citizen in the 100 block of Jonquil Lane around 6:30 a.m. and advised of vandalism to a Virginia State Police patrol vehicle and a Hampton Police patrol vehicle.

Both vehicles had the glass broken out of the driver’s side window. No weapons were taken from the vehicles, but it was reported that a small amount of ammunition was taken from the VSP vehicle.

It was also discovered that three citizen vehicles were also broken into in the area. Entry was gained into those vehicles through unlocked doors. A credit card was reported missing from one of the vehicles.

This incident occurred between April 2, 2015 at 10:30 p.m. and April 3, 2015 at 6:30 a.m.

At this time there are no suspects.
