Yorktown, Va. - A 32-year-old Yorktown mother is charged with three counts of felony child neglect.

Kara Castle's arraignment was continued in a York County courtroom Thursday morning where she faced a judge for the first time after York-Poquoson Sheriff's deputies say Castle drove her children while intoxicated and dropped them off alone at a baseball game at Grafton Middle School.

Deputies say the two children are 9 and 11.  They say she also had a 9-month-old baby in the vehicle when she drove them there.

Deputies say the children called a family member about an hour later to come get them.

A deputy went to Castle's home to ask her about what happened.  According to a  criminal complaint filed in court, she appeared unsteady and unaware of what day it was.  It also said a preliminary breath test taken that night showed her blood alcohol level to be .32.

Castle was arrested and charged with three counts of Felony Child Neglect. She'll be back in court for council determination on April 2nd.

The children were uninjured and all turned over to their father.
