Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Police are investigating two shootings that took place over the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon around 1:45 p.m., officers responded to Sentara Obici Hospital regards to a patient with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. He had been brought to the hospital by his friends.
The victim told police he was shot by an unknown person when he was leaving a party somewhere in the area of North Broad Street and Second Avenue.
Later that afternoon, around 5:00 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 500 block of Chisholm Lane. No one was injured and no vehicles were hit by gunfire. There are no suspects. This incident also remains under investigation.
