Suffolk, Va. - A home was destroyed in Suffolk on Friday after flames ripped through the two-story structure.
This happened in the 3500 block of Knott's Neck Road which is in the rural northern Suffolk area.
Emergency crews received calls about the fire at around 1:21 p.m.
When they arrived, they saw fire coming from the home. No one was inside at the time.
They are not sure yet how many people actually lived there.
A portion of the road there is closed as crews continue to investigate.
The cause of the fire is unknown. The Fire Marshal's Office is now handling the investigation.
