Outer Banks, NC - Chase Patterson, the owner of Albemarle Landscapes, has had enough.

"I'm so mad only because I don't know the reason behind it," Patterson told NewsChannel 3.

The words 'I'm back Chase, pay me' were recently spray painted on his office.

NewsChannel 3 asked Patterson if he owes anyone money. He replied, "I don't owe a person a dime. There's not one debt that I have."

That's just the beginning.

A few weeks ago, he talked to NewsChannel 3 when police say someone set several of his work trucks on fire.

The damage cost him hundreds of thousands of dollars.

No one was ever arrested, leaving Patterson nervous about what could happen next.

"I'm tired of looking over my shoulder, looking behind me, and having to worry about this and that . It's the worst feeling in the world. "

So now, he's taking action with his own cash. He's offering $5,000 to anyone who tips off police and their tip leads to the conviction of the person who burned his truck and vandalized his office.

"I just want to catch the guy or whoever is behind it. Whoever is the mastermind, I want them put away for a long time," he said.

Kitty Hawk and Nags Head police are working together on leads. Kitty Hawk police officials say both crimes are most likely connected.
