The first fire broke out in a two-story farmouse in the 6600 block of Everets Road in the Chuckatuck borough.

A resident of the home told NewsChannel 3 that she went to pick up her son from school on Thursday afternoon and smelled smoke and spotted flames when she returned home.

When crews arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the second floor.  Most of the damage is contained to a bedroom on the second floor. The residents believe the fire was electrical.

Though no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, eight residents were displaced.  They are now staying with family and friends.

The second fire happened in the 200 block of Stowe Drive in the Riverfront/Harbourview area of northern Suffolk. They found fire inside of a wall of the home. No one was displaced and no one was injured.

The last fire occurred in the 6700 block of Chambers Lane in the Burbage Grant neighborhood. Units found light smoke coming from the home and one person was able to get out. The fire was inside of the kitchen and was caused by unattended cooking. No one was injured during this incident. One person was displaced and is staying with friends.
