Three men stabbed overnight in Portsmouth; “blood everywhere”

Portsmouth, Va. - Three men were stabbed early Tuesday morning in Olde Towne Portsmouth.

A friend of two of the victims tells NewsChannel 3 the men were leaving Longboards bar when they were stabbed in the back near High and Dinwiddie Streets. The friend says the third victim was stabbed in the shoulder while trying to help the other men.

Police say a man ran into the Governor Dinwiddie Hotel at High Street and Dinwiddie Street shortly before 3:00 a.m.

That man had been stabbed in the back.

As police were responding, a second man ran into Longboards Bar in the same area. He had been stabbed in the shoulder.

As police were responding to the second man, a third man ran into the Governor Dinwiddie who was also stabbed in the back.

The first two men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and the third man was transported to Maryview Hospital.

Lots of blood was reportedly found at the scene of the crime, according to NewsChannel 3's Jackie Morlock.

Police do not have suspect information at this time.
