Newport News, Va. – The man who was recovered from Lake Maury on Saturday, November 8, 2014 has been identified as 65-year-old Ricardo John Peters.
Police were called just before 10:30 Saturday morning about a body in Lake Maury located behind Riverside Hospital. A Dominion Power worker was in the area working and saw the body in the water.
Newport News Fire Department Dive team launched their boat to try to retrieve the body. They were in the area of Gatewood Road and Warwick Blvd.
