The NASA Wallops Flight Facility joint Incident Response Team (IRT) has completed an initial assessment of the Pad 0A (Zero A) launch complex and the adjacent support facilities at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS) on Wallops Island.

Preliminary findings indicate that the major elements of the Pad 0A launch complex, including the Launch Pad, Liquid Fuel Facility, and Water Tower, escaped severe damage.

Pad 0A at the Spaceport appears to be unaffected.

The full extent of the repairs and the time required to complete them will not be known until a more detailed inspection is completed in the coming days and weeks.

Anyone who finds debris or damage to their property in the vicinity of the launch mishap is cautioned to stay away from it and call the Incident Response Team at 757-824-1295.
