Portsmouth, Va. – The Elizabeth River Tunnels (ERT) Project team, in partnership with VDOT, will continue tunnel rehabilitation of the Interstate 264 (I-264) East Downtown Tunnel this weekend.
There will be a full directional tunnel closure beginning Friday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 27 at 5 a.m.
The current eastbound closure schedule is as follows:
• Full direction closures:
o Oct. 24-27: Closed Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
o Oct. 31-Nov. 3: Closed Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday at 5 a.m.
• Single lane closures: Nightly Monday through Thursday, Oct. 27-30 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next morning.
Closure dates are subject to change.
