Portsmouth, Va. – A sailor on the USS Barry had to medevaced on Wednesday after officials say he reported experiencing chest pains while off the Virginia Coast 40 miles east of Virginia Beach.
Crews were notified about the incident at around 3 a.m.
They dispatched a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Elizabeth City.
The sailor was taken to Portsmouth Naval Hospital where he was listed as stable.
No other details have been released.
