FBI to begin testing Jesse Matthew’s DNA in connection to Alexis Murphy case

Posted

Nelson County, Va. – The FBI will test Jesse Matthew’s DNA to see if he is connected to the disappearance of Nelson County teen Alexis Murphy.

The car she was driving the day she went missing will be tested for evidence that could link her to Matthew, WTVR says.

The defense attorney Mike Callahan requested to have testing done on the car and on DNA found in her vehicle because the DNA did not match the man convicted in the case, Randy Taylor.

Taylor was convicted but Murphy’s body was never found.

The testing should be complete within the next few weeks the family says.
