Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk police are investigating after a woman told police she believes someone was attempting to impersonate a police officer when they tried to pull her over.

On September 28, 2014 at 4:30 p.m., an officer responded to the 1st Precinct, located at 230 E. Washington Street, to speak with the victim regarding a claim of someone impersonating a police officer.

Police investigated and found that she had been stopped on E. Pinner Street by a silver vehicle with blue flashing lights that she believed to be a police car, at 3:10 p.m.

She later contacted Suffolk police because she didn’t feel comfortable about the stop, police say.
