James City County, Va. – Crews responded to a pickup truck fire on I-64 eastbound Friday morning, police tell NewsChannel 3.
At 11:06 a.m. on Friday, September 12, James City County fire units responded to the report of a pickup truck on fire on I-64. Units arrived on scene at 11:12 a.m. and found the burning truck at the 232 mile marker.
The eastbound lane of the interstate was closed to perform firefighting operations. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. The cause of the fire is a mechanical failure.
