Tulsa. Ok. – A civilian contractor accidently buried 10 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters in firefighting foam at the Oklahoma Army National Guard base in Tulsa Tuesday morning.

The contractor was testing the base’s alarm and safety systems when he triggered the fire suppression equipment, according to NewsOn6.com.

The foam buried seven helicopters inside the hanger, then spread outside and engulfed three more.

While crews were cleaning up a small dust devil spun up and tossed the foam even farther.

Mechanics checked the aircraft over after their unplanned bath and all were returned to flight status later that day, according to NewsOn6.
