UPDATE:  Norfolk, Va. – A sailor assigned to the USS Theodore Roosevelt, who was shot by police in August, pleaded guilty to several charges in court on Wednesday, November 12.

In early August, Jasmine Glespie ran over another woman at Breezy Point Apartments and then kept going towards officers and others standing by.

Police say that is when an officer fired a gun at her.

Glespie was hit in the bladder and received 44 stitches. The woman who Glespie hit with the car has fully recovered.

Glespie pleaded guilty to DUI, misdemeanor assault and battery.f

According to Norfolk criminal clerks, Glespie was sentenced to six “active” months in jail, but she will get credit for the time she has already spent in jail since mid August.

She could potentially be out sooner for good behavior.
