Until further notice, E. Princess Anne Road between Tidewater Drive and Hanson Avenue will be completely closed to through traffic due to an unstable four-story structure located at E. Princess Anne Road and Bolton Street.

The City of Norfolk says the closure is necessary to protect those driving by while the building's owner takes the necessary steps to stabilize the structure.

The owner is providing security personnel to maintain the road closure and site security while improvements are made.

Motorists are encouraged to use E. Virginia Beach Boulevard and Goff Street as alternate routes.
