Three without home after fire in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – Thanks to an observant neighbor, a man was able to escape heavy fire inside of a Virginia Beach home on Thursday afternoon.

The fire department was called about the incident and crews were dispatched out at 2:49 p.m. Crews quickly responded to the 900 block of Calypso Lane in Virginia Beach.

When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the home. One man was inside but a neighbor told him about the fire and he was able to get out safely.

Three people lived inside of the home. The house was heavily damaged and the residents have found a place to stay.

The cause of this fire is still under investigation.
