Praying in public is normally a personal choice, but now it’s becoming a financial one in North Carolina.

According to Foxnews.com, one restaurant is giving customers a 15% discount if they pray in public.

Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston Salem has been offering this discount for several years now.

It wasn’t until someone posted their receipt on Facebook that it has received much attention.

The owner, Mary Haglund, says it’s not a company policy, they do it randomly.

She says there are people who don’t agree with the practice but they are not forced to do it.

She says it’s not about being religious, but thankful for the food. As a missionary, she has seen her share of poverty.
