A Navy sailor serving a deployment aboard the USS James E. Williams (DDG-95) died in June as a result of a non-hostile incident, the Department of Defense released Monday.
According to the release, Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Yeshabel Villot-Carrasco, 23, of Parma, Ohio died June 19th while the ship was underway in the Red Sea.
Cmdr. Curtis Calloway, commanding officer of the USS James E. Williams posted about the incident on the ship’s Facebook page back in June.
He says Villot-Carrasco was married late last year and leaves behind a husband who was also deployed and two loving parents in Puerto Rico.
