Teen struck by car in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va.- At 9:00 p.m, Police and medics responded to the intersection of Canal Drive and Geneva Blvd. for a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian, a 14-year-old boy, ran across the road and was struck by a vehicle. The teen was taken to Sentara Norfolk General for non-life threatening injuries.

The accident is still under investigation and currently there are no charges against the driver.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
