Norfolk, Va. - Cousins - both charged with murder.
We're learning more about the arrests, as one of them made their first appearance in court on Monday morning.
Roy Turner was arrested just one day after his cousin, Kareem Turner.
Roy joined several family members celebrating Kareem's release in March from jail. Now they are charged together in a Norfolk murder.
On Friday, Roy was in court, but as a spectator, watching Kareem Turner face a judge on new murder charges. Sometime after that hearing, police came after Roy, locking him up over the weekend.
Court documents show police believe Roy Turner helped commit a killing on July 16, but that he was not the person who pulled the trigger. Dajuan Glover was shot several times before dawn outside a house on Jason Avenue.
In the documents, law officers described Roy Turner's criminal history as "extensive," including crimes for guns, drugs and assaulting police. Kareem Turner has no felony convictions.
Outside court, the cousins' relatives ran into Tom Sheppard, one of the lawyers who successfully defended Kareem in Virginia Beach. He is not on the new case, however. Both men asked for court-appointed lawyers. In the meantime, they're being kept in jail without bail.
