Henrico man may be first charged under state’s new ‘revenge porn’ law

Henrico, Va. – A man who allegedly posted a nude photo of his ex-girlfriend of Facebook last week my be the first person charged under the Virginia’s new ‘revenge porn’ law.

21-year-old Brandon Oliver was charged under the 15-day-old state law after the photo popped up in Facebook feeds, according to our sister station WTVR.

On July 1, Virginia became the 11th state in the country to enact such a law.

If convicted of both charges, Oliver faces up to 24 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.

    Despicable. Of course, these days it takes a special kind of stupid to allow anyone to take naked pictures of you in the first place, regardless of your relationship.
