Newport News, Va. – Fire crews put a suspicious fire at a vacant home in Newport News early Monday morning.

The blaze at the home in the 600 block of 35th street was called in when someone noticed smoke coming from the roof.

Firefighters had the fire out in 15 minutes,  and say the blaze is being investigated because the home was vacant and there was no power to the building.
