Severe weather causes damage around Hampton Roads

Severe weather rolled through Hampton Roads on Wednesday causing thousands of power outages, downed trees and damage to buildings.

Trees were down in several neighborhoods and chunks of bricks fell off of a building at one Norfolk apartment in E. Ocean View.

Neighbors say  they heard a loud boom after a strike of lightning.

No one was injured.
