York County, Va. - A York County man who was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child in June has been charged with 10 additional child sex abuse counts.

56-year-old Thomas George Seifert initially faced four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship. The incidents allegedly occurred when the victim was 15 and ended when he turned 17.

Seifert now has been charged with an additional 10 counts of Felony Child Sexual Abuse while in a Custodial Role.

The new charges involve two male teenage victims. Some of the incidents allegedly occurred at Seifert's residence in the 500 block of Meadowfield Road and some allegedly occurred at the Edgehill Pool located in the 700 block of Cockletown Road.

The incidents allegedly occurred over a 4 to 5 year span and continued to the early part of this year, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.

During the course of investigation deputies have determined that Seifert has been around numerous juveniles through his affiliation with several different organizations.

Seifert has served as an Assistant Troop Leader with the Boy Scouts for several years and has also volunteered and managed the Edgehill Pool snack bar for the last 5 years.

Over the years, he has volunteered for other youth organizations.

The sheriff's office says additional charges may be pending.
