Norfolk, Va. - On Tuesday, 600 solar panels on top of ODU started to generate some heat.

The Energy Project is a partnership between Dominion Virginia Power and Old Dominion University.

The facility will create solar power that could power 31 homes during daylight hours. The energy the panels create will go back into the power grid.
