MIDDLESEX COUNTY, Va. - Virginia State Police have now released the identities of both the pilot and passenger who died in a plane crash in Middlesex County on Sunday evening.
Middlesex Co. Sheriff's Office received reports of the plane crash at 4:53 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. The single engine 1968 Cessna 150 crashed on Lockley's Creek Rd.
The pilot, who has now been identified as 58-year-old Stephen L. Myers, died from the crash.
The passenger, identified as 48-year-old Misty Dawn McIntyre, was taken via helicopter to a hospital but died as a result of her injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and troopers responded to the scene to investigate. The investigation is ongoing.
