Man arrested, accused of inappropriately touching child between 2010-2012

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 57-year-old man for allegedly inappropriately touching a child between May 1, 2010 and January 1, 2012.

According to a release, the sheriff’s office received a report on June 26th that Thomas G. Seifert allegedly touched the juvenile male while at the suspect’s residence in the 500 block of Meadowfield Road and while in the snack shed at the Edgehill Pool in the 700 block of Cockletown Road.

The incidents were alleged to occur starting when the victim was 15 and ending when he turned 17.

The victim and suspect were known to each other.

Seifert was arrested at his residence without incident. He was charged with four counts of taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship.

The investigation is ongoing.
