Linguine with Shrimp Scampi

1 pound linguine

¼ lb unsalted butter

¼ cup white wine

4 cloves garlic (minced)

1 pound large shrimp (about 16 shrimp), peeled and deveined

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves

½  lemon, zest grated

2 lemons (juiced)

Pinch hot red pepper flakes


In a large pot of boiling salted water, add linguine, and cook according to the directions on the package.

In a large sauté pan, melt the butter. Add the garlic and sauté (DO NOT BURN).  Add the shrimp and cook until the shrimp have just turned pink. Add white wine, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Toss to combine. Serve over pasta
