Meet the Virginia Aquarium’s newest sea turtle, Captain Hook

The 6th Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle to be hooked accidentally by a fisherman since May is now at the Virginia Beach Aquarium’s Marine Animal Care Center, where he is said to be recovering.

The aquarium has named the turtle, “Captain Hook.”

Fisherman have been taking action by calling the Stranding Response hotline, 757 385 7575.
