SYRACUSE, Utah — A Utah man used his truck to stop a teen driver who drove into a park and nearly hit several children, according to a report on Fox13now.com. Bryson Rowley said he used his truck to end the chase because he was afraid for the safety of the children at the park.

“The person driving the truck could see it was turning back into the park, and he did not want the car to hit all of the children, or any of the children, and he actually pulled his truck in the way so the car collided with the truck,” Syracuse Police Officer Erin Behm said.

“My heart dropped,” Bryson’s wife Brandy said. “I honestly thought one of those kids is going to die.”

The teen, who is accused of taking his grandfather’s car for a joyride, was taken to a nearby juvenile detention center.
